Zastava Arms began building Mauser action rifles in 1880 with the Kosta Milovanovi? re-design of the Mauser 1871 for the Serbian armed forces. The factory was involved in rebuilding German Karabiner 98k rifles left over from WWII. Zastava Arms began expanding their offerings making their M70 sporting rifles for the civilian market. These fine rifles were exported to many country's including Britain, Europe, Australia and New Zealand under the Whitworth name. They were imported into the United States and sold under the Remington Arms and Interarms brand names. Zastava Arms USA was founded in 2019 and is now offering these prized rifles to the US shooting community.

Zastava Arms USA is now offering the M85 Sporting Rifle with proven Mauser action system. The barrel is cold forged and made of chrome-vanadium steel. The cold forging process yields a high precision barrel with constant accuracy and durability. The M85 sports iron sights the front is hooded. These beautiful rifles feature a blued finish and high quality walnut stock set with comfortable butt pad. The stock also has 2 swivels for mounting your favorite sling. The rifle has a slide safety next to the bolt to insure a safe & comfortable shooting experience. The receiver of the sporting rifle has 4 threads with protective screws for mounting optional Scopes. The Zastava M85 series is a great choice for hunting or target shooters looking for consistent accuracy.
