Czech Small Arms VZ61 Pistol 7.65. The semi-automatic Sa VZ 61 Pistol, approved by the BATFE, is the semiautomatic version the legendary Sa VZ 61 Submachine Gun, which was developed in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. Special reconnaissance units, special forces, tank crews and security forces of Ministry of Interior used the Sa VZ 61. The Sa VZ 61 was designed to meet a specific requirement: a firearm that can be carried in a holster and capable of firing full-automatic shots.

Sa VZ 61's design was revolutionary at the time. The Sa VZ 61 uses the same operational features as a submachine gun. It has an unlocked bolt and a magazine that is inserted into its bottom. These features are combined with some unique characteristics that are not often found in submachine guns. They include an extraordinary small size, fires using a closed bolt and uses a rate decreaser to slow down full-automatic fire.

CzechPoint offers the Sa VZ 61, a semi-automatic version the original military firearm. It is also the closest one can get to the VZ 61 submachine guns. This firearm looks almost identical to the ones used in Military and Paramilitary units around the globe, with the exception of the removal and rate reducer. The pistol comes with a hard case, two 20-rd magazines, as well as a paper manual.
