The Southern Tactical VZ 58 Rifle is built using an original imported VZ 58 parts kit paired with a premium milled VZ 58 receiver manufactured by Tortort Manufacturing exclusively for Southern Tactical.
Each rifle is assembled with a new 16-inch AK Builder nitrided VZ 58 barrel and features a removable muzzle nut. The barrel is threaded 14×1 LH, making it compatible with a wide variety of popular AK-pattern muzzle devices, including flash hiders, compensators, and muzzle brakes.
The rifle is finished in a durable Czech Gray DuraBake coating that is oven-cured at 350°F for exceptional corrosion resistance and long-lasting protection.
To preserve the rifle's historic appearance, Southern Tactical recreates the original Czech trunnion markings, including the iconic SHE factory mark with the famous crossed swords, along with the original-style date of manufacture and serial number markings. These authentic details give the rifle a look that closely resembles the original military-issued VZ 58.
The rifle is equipped with the popular "Beaver Barf" resin-impregnated wood furniture, providing the classic appearance collectors appreciate. Every rifle is test-fired with 30 rounds of ammunition to ensure reliable function before leaving our shop.

Due to multiple states and cities now enforcing various magazine restrictions and more coming we will not ship magazines that are restricted in your area with firearms to the states listed below. If the mag that comes with the firearm is not legal in your state or city the magazine will be removed from the shipment. We do not offer custom magazine requests to swap out, ship to another state, refund, pinning of mag, substitutions, dealer approval or other.
