The Colt IAR6940 M4 Commando 5.56 rifle is a U.S.-made, semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO/.223 Remington. It features a 16-inch heavy-profile, chrome-lined barrel with a 1:7 twist and A2 flash hider, along with a monolithic upper receiver featuring a full-length MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. The rifle includes a Colt forged aluminum M4 Commando lower receiver, gas-block-mounted fixed front sight, Matech folding rear sight, and a heat-management handguard system. Other listed features include a carbine-length direct-impingement gas system, Colt charging handle, B5 Bravo stock, black mil-spec finish, M4 feed ramps, and a nitrided bolt carrier group. The listed weight is approximately 7.8 pounds unloaded, with an adjustable overall length of 32.5 to 35.75 inches, and the package includes a 30-round PMAG.
