The BM-59 Rifle was developed in the late 50's to replace the M1 Garand rifles for the Italian Military. The rifles are chambered for the NATO-standard 7.62×51mm round and fed by a BM 59 20 round magazine. James River is now offering a rifle that looks as they did when they were turned in by Italian Army troops over 40 years ago. The BM-59 Service grade rifle has a new 8620 Billet receiver and new 4150 1x10 twist rifle barrel. The original Italian metal parts will show original patina and character. The original stocks will have dings and dents from years of service and most are modified WW II era M1 Garand stocks. If you are looking for a sweet shooter with the look of original Mil issue this is the rifle for you. Rifle ships in a Hard Case with one 20-round magazine and owner's manual. Rifle carries a one year warranty from J.R.A

Please Note- Rifle is chambered for and functions best with Nato spec 147 grain 7.62x51 ammunition. We do not recommend commercial .308 Winchester ammunition for this rifle. Style trigger guard may slightly vary from pictures.
