MREs are provided to United States Armed Forces for nutrition during field operations. MREs were adopted in the 1980s and followed the C & K rations of WWII and MCI meals of Korea and Vietnam. Each MRE provides an average of 1,250 calories (13% protein, 36% fat, and 51% carbohydrates) and 1/3 of the Military Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamins and minerals. MREs are designed for long term storage and packaged very well. If stored under the correct conditions shelf life is estimated between 5 -7 years & up to 10 years if stored in cool dry conditions. All cases have a born on date and a 3-year inspection date. The date on an MRE is the “inspection date” rather than an expiry date. The inspection date is 3 years after the meal was packed. It’s used as a reminder for the US Military to check that the meal’s packaging is sound. You will get 1 "A" MRE case.

For Safety & Liability reasons there are NO RETURNS on MREs. Please be sure of your order before you complete it and email our office with any questions.
