AR Featureless Grip with backfin. Atlantic Firearms has combined Excile Machine's Backfin with the Magpul MIAD® Gen 1.1 pistol grip to make a single, turnkey item, for purchase to replace your current pistol grip on your AR platform firearm. The Excile machine Backfin™ replaces the backstrap for the Magpul MIAD® Gen 1.1 (Type 1 (AR-15) or Type 2 (AR-10)) pistol grip on your AR pattern rifle, featuring a sturdy fin that blocks your hand from wrapping around the grip, and an integral Thumbshelf for assertive weapon control. 

The installation of this part, as opposed to the standard grip, will negate the feature of the standard pistol grip when the back fin is installed, making it not possible to wrap one's thumb around the part and thus not a pistol grip. This is a great option for California customers looking to convert to a featureless option. Please be mindful that the installation of this part(with the back fin installed) only negates the pistol grip feature of the firearm it is applied to. The Excile machine Backfin is only for use with the Magpul MIAD Gen 1.1 grip. This product does not fit any other grip, including the V1.0 MIAD, which has a different backstrap mounting geometry.

The MIAD (MIssion ADaptable) Grip is a drop replacement for standard grips.This generation grip has improved ergonomics and aggressive texturing for improved weapon control with interchangeable front and backstraps to personalize hand fit. The MIAD is still fully compatible with all Magpul Grip Cores, and comes with the latest: A lubrication bottle storage core! All mounting hardware such as grip screw and washer is included.

This product is manufactured in the USA from a proprietary aliphatic polyester compound, via fused deposition manufacturing (3D filament printing).

This product is engineered and tested to work with mil-spec forged AR lower receivers. While the design may work with billet lowers, these lowers often have wide variances in dimensioning that could possibly impact the fit of this product.

PLEASE NOTE: the addition of a grip wrap will negate the pistol grip "feature" thus making the rifle Featureless under the new 2017 CA Law. If necessary we will also remove the muzzle device from the firearm (we include all original parts in a bag zip tied to the trigger guard ). If available we will install a thread protector or tape on the threads.  Please make sure you have thoroughly discussed this transfer in detail with your dealer PRIOR to placing your order. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you live in a magazine restricted state we remove the hi cap mag & will be glad to substitute with a 10 round mag IF available  . If a 10 round mag is not available we will remove hi cap the magazine from the shipment . We cannot ship prohibited magazines to out of state addresses . There will be no substitutions or discounts offered for removal of mags.
